Saturday's programme

Saturdays....are fun in the MCA!

Every Saturday morning between October and May, a recreation and education programme for individual kids between 5 and 12 years old is organized in the MCA. The programme includes visits to the galleries of the museum, theatre, story-telling, modeling of handictafts and many other activities, specially designed in order to combine entertainment with learning and stimulate the imagination of our young friends.

The programme started operating in 1986 under the supervision of the educator Sophia Gialouraki and has continued uninterrupted until today. Sophia Gialouraki retired in 2006 after 20 successful years of creative contact with the children and the programme is now run by younger but equally competent educators who bring with them fresh ideas and methods of interaction with the kids. The details of the programme are publicized in Press and the present web page.
