The institution of the Friends of the Museum, which dates from 1986, supports the Museum’s activities. The assistance of the Museum Friends, sponsors and donors has always been invaluable.
Both the Museum’s permanent collections and temporary exhibitions have the objective of developing ongoing communication with the public, and attracting all visitors.
The Museum aims to secure adequate revenue from various sources in order to fund new exhibitions, educational programmes for schools, children and family workshops, seminars, lectures, and various other activities.
In our efforts to maintain the high academic and museological standards, there is a constant need to financially support the Museum's activities. A valuable contribution to the continuation of this work is provided by the Friends of the Museum – individuals, organisations and companies.
The Museum of Cycladic Art is a private, not-for-profit organisation, and does not rely on state funding. |
